Adventure Aid: Blue Mountains Explorer
- Duration: 12 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Katoomba, New South Wales
Join Freeland Hiking Co. on an exciting day-hike in the majestic Blue Mountains.
More than just a walk in the bush: you'll be lead by a passionate and experienced guide, who will bring to life the landscape through stories of the history of the area and fascinating facts about the local flora and fauna; reconnecting you to the many wonders of nature.
The track is 15km and moderately graded, with some stairs and steeper descents. But don't worry if you're new to hiking, we'll take lots of breaks to slow down and appreciate the silence of nature.
After riding the World's steepest railway out of the valley (included), you can sit down to enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch; a delicious spread of local cheeses, cold meats, fresh sourdough bread and dips, plus some morish, locally made cookies. This is the perfect chance to get outdoors, enjoy some time spent in nature and perhaps make some new friends!
In support of the Adventure Aid weekend, 100% of the money generated on this hike will be donated to support the bushfire relief.
